Out Story

It all started in 1980 with a career in construction—and an appetite for something better.

Our founder, Bevan, spent decades working on scaffolding jobs across the UK. He knew the grind, and more importantly, he knew the food options on site were usually bland, boring, or downright bad. One day in 2006, he decided enough was enough.

Timeline of The Wicked Food Group

The Crazy Cow Story

Armed with a second-hand trailer, a bold idea, and a love for proper food, Bevan built the very first Crazy Cow Burger Van. It was painted in signature black-and-white cow patches and fitted with a flat-top grill. He sourced high-quality beef from a local butcher, crafted a signature spice blend, and served up freshly grilled burgers on toasted brioche buns—topped with a homemade sauce that quickly earned fans.

From Sites to Celebrations

What started as a hot meal on a cold job site quickly snowballed. Co-workers told friends. Friends told family. Before long, Crazy Cow was pulling into weddings, village fêtes, office lunches, and even small music festivals.
